About Us:

Our organization was established to save one very special Pit, Kenya. We accept Pit Bulls into rescue from area shelters following proper temperament testing. Pit Rescue of the Great Plains strives to educate the public about the true nature of the Pit Bull, dispelling myths about the breed through education and responsible pet ownership! We are entirely against the cruel sport of pit fighting and believe there is no justifiable reason to throw two dogs in a pit to watch them tear each other apart. Dogs will only be available for adoption into families as pets and companion animals following a thorough screening process.
